Description
  • As a Senior Software Developer at Giatec, you will be a key part of our software development team. You will be collaborating with other teams to develop first class, usable, reliable mobile apps and enterprise web applications that serve our customers in the field and at the office.  Ultimately, you will be building the next generation of our mobile and web solutions!

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, document, test and support mobile applications for Android, iOS and Windows devices and/or enterprise web applications in the Cloud
  • Work closely with members of User Experience and Support teams to drive product quality and usability enhancements within the products
  • Collaborate with the Hardware and R&D teams to deliver innovative, reliable and scalable next generation solutions
  • Improve software security, automation, orchestration, release toolsets and processes
  • Ensure service up-time by improving monitoring and alerting within the Giatec 360 Cloud solution
  • Drive architecture, technology direction and best practice adoption within the team
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Participate in Agile development practices as part of the SDLC

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • 4+ years of experience with mobile apps/enterprise web applications
  • Excellent development skills with four or more of the following: Angular, Django, Python/JavaScript, C#/Java, SQL, REST, Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices
  • Strong grasp of unit, integration and end-to-end test development
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, architectural principles and software best practices
  • Strong technical leadership skills
  • Experience with Cloud orchestration, automation, monitoring, CI/CD and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Xamarin and Azure an asset
  • Communication, collaboration and innovation skills are key
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
