Description

The Scrum Master is a servant leader who helps one or more teams self-organize and helps in building an environment that enables delivery of business value
and a great product. It’s their role to coach the team and the Journey Owner in effective Agile practices, lead and/or facilitate Scrum and/or other processes
that the team has agreed upon. They helps remove impediments and shields the team from external distractions. Scrum Masters are also personal coaches for
team members, developing building talent through coaching and identification of learning opportunities.


CORE RESPONSABILITIES:
Oversee scrum process and coaches the team; facilitates transparency, inspection and adaptation
Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings in a way that ensures full team engagement
Support Journey Owner and team in backlog grooming and release planning
Foster self-organization and growth within the team
Generate agile mindset in staff and teams through conversations, coaching, and exercises
Foster close cooperation across all team members, encourage cross-training and supporting each other
Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment
Guide the team and organization on how to use scrum & other Agile practices and methodologies
Remove impediments (e.g., cultural barriers, logistic challenges, coordination with other teams)
Shield the team from external interference and ensure the team is fully functional and productive
Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team
Ultimately responsible for all technology aspects of the product including security, performance, scalability and maintainability
Partners with Journey Owners to identify technical trade-offs and suggest alternative solutions
Translate business needs into technical solutions and creates a plan of action with team

Qualifications

MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in Agile Development, with specific Scrum Master experience preferred
Relevant experience outside of SM (digital product or similar) and/or in a startup environment is a plus
Ability to coach team on agile practices and ensure adherence to agile methodology to deliver max business value on time
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages and teach new concepts
Active coach and mentor whose goal is to grow and maximize the team’s potential
Assertive, with the confidence to be voice of authority – not afraid to do what is best for the team
Brings a high-energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around her/him
Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable & effective workplace
Knowledge of relevant domains/products/journeys
Confident and skilled at guiding the team through organizational road-blocks to allow sprints to be completed on time
Ability to promote innovative thinking and self-improvement within the team
Distinct client focus and quality mindset
Ability to manage own learning and contribute to functional knowledge building
Ability to work under pressure, manage stakeholder expectations effectively and not get overwhelmed by pressures on team
Enjoys and gets energized by complex problem solving and ability to push the innovation on solutions
Excellent leadership skills and enjoys coaching / upskilling others
Excellent communication skills with strong ability to influence
