Power System Engineer

Term: 9–12-month fulltime contract

HTG is looking for a highly experienced Power System Engineer. You would work in the power hardware design team under the guidance of a senior power specialist.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop power and ground systems for telecommunication systems.
2. Work with vendors and procurement to deliver components and sub-systems designs into production.
3. Test system and sub-system design against engineering and production prototypes.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Great communication skills, ability to work in a team environment in collaborative manner with PV, hardware, manufacturing and vendors
• Involvement in team building, project management, resource (staffing and funding) management, and leading development projects
• Familiarity with measurement techniques
• Understanding of telecom product development and/or microelectronic power
• Hands-on experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools
• Customer site power and grounding and manage consultants for technical reviews
• Familiarity and understanding of power and ground design standards for Data center customers
• Proficient in working with senior subject matter experts in Mechanical, Power, Thermal, and HW and SW systems for Platform development
• Electrical engineer degree with 10-15 years’ experience total
• Grounding design and System Power experience: 5-10 years
• Experience designing Power Component Circuit pack: 5-10 years

Desired Skills:

• Post Graduate in Electronics or Micro Electronics Power is an asset
• Experience in mentoring would be an asset
